YOMEL HICOR HJ 3 EXTREME SOWING MACHINE
The Extreme Yomel seeder has distinctive features, being the most important the seeding of all crops in monograin way or precision seeding by means of a single meter a perforated vertical cylinder on the row furrower, at reduced row spaces (23,3 cm o 26,25 cm) as well as at 35 cm, 52,5 cm and 70 cm.
Its diameter (400 mm), the low speed rotation, the absence of leveling elements and the design of feeding of seeds that allows a small slope on the cylinder, generate an excellent treatment of seeds, eliminating damage to seed teguments.
The simple change of the cylinder allows its use for the seeding of soybean, wheat, corn, sunflower, sorghum, barley, among others.
These design features, where precision dosing is combined with the smallest row spacing, permit an excellent spatial distribution of the plants, anticipating the closure of the row and generating a better use of resources (land-water-light).
The changing of the configuration of the row spacing is carried out in a direct way leaving the row drillers out of work by means of their “hanging” in the tool bar, without dismantling being required.
The chassis of the seeder is a bridge-shaped chasis, which has two preestablished positions, working and transport ones.
In the transport position the design gives priority to safety in the moving of the equipment and its integrity in difficult conditions.
To maximize the expression of a better seed distribution, the seeding unit presents distinctive features to the existing ones in the market.
Among them, the most distinctive is the hoe, of internal position in the furrower dual disk.
This element allows the generation of a controlled depth seeding bed, free from stubble and a propitious environment to anticipate the emergency by zoned clearing.
The contact of the seed with the soil to encourage its moisturizing is generated with a stainless steel band pressing wheel, which by its lower porosity shows better operational performance to adverse conditions.

Types of perforated cylinders
Changing the perforated cylinder is all it takes to change the crop being planted. Available on demand, according to the seed's size and shape.

Regarding soybean, the Yomel-Hilcor HJ 3.25 SOWING MACHINE allows seed by seed planting at 23.3cm row spacing. This ensures sowing uniformity in short-cycle varieties, reduces the amount of seeds needed and boosts efficiency in water usage, nutrients and luminosity.
For long-cycle varieties, if necessary, the rear frames can be folded to enable a 46.6cm row spacing.
It is known that narrowing row spacing results in a higher yield. Our trials records show a 250 to 300 kg/ha yield raise in 23.3cm row spacing compared to traditional 52.5cm row spacing (II to V group varieties in open field).
Our trial records for wheat show that by using low seeding rates (40 kg/ha compared to 120 kg/ha) the result was a higher yield, roughly 300/500 kg per hectare. Planting 40 kg/ha, a germination of 100/120 plants per sq. meter can be expected; obtaining 4 to 5 tillering units. This procedure was used to achieve approximately 450/500 ears of wheat per sq. meter, the highest yield in our region.
he key to the versatility of this product is its exclusive bridge-shaped chassis (patented) that bears the weight of the hoppers with both seeds and fertilizer: only the main frame that holds the row units moves up and down. This prevents the weight variations that affect the pressure on the row units as the hoppers empty. Another advantage of this chassis is that the row units are quickly moved up and down by means of two 3" cylinders. This reduces the time needed to lift or lower the row units, improving its manoeuvrability, thus reducing stoppages at turnaround points of a row. The row units are lifted up to 35cm off the ground. This SOWING MACHINE can modify the weight on the main frame by means of a hydraulic pressure-adjustment valve operated from the cab. The spacing can be customised as needed because of the row units not being rigid.
